Motly

Terms of Use

Effective July 29, 2026

These Terms explain the rules for using Motly. Motly’s features are free to use. Optional tips via Buy Me a Coffee are donations and do not unlock paid content. By using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Agreement

By downloading or using Motly, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Motly is a personal vocabulary learning tool that shows a daily word, lets you save words, take short quizzes, and optionally display today’s word on a Home Screen widget.

Free features

Motly is free to download and use. All features available in the app—including the daily word, saved words, quizzes, study tools, language and level settings, themes, and the Home Screen widget—are provided without a purchase unlock.

You do not need to tip, subscribe, or buy anything to access Motly’s features.

Optional support (Buy Me a Coffee)

Motly may include a link to Buy Me a Coffee so you can optionally support the developer. Any amount you send is a voluntary donation / tip to support continued development. It is not a purchase of Motly, not a subscription, and not an in-app purchase through Apple.

A tip does not unlock exclusive features, remove limits, grant Pro access, create a Motly account, or change your rights under these Terms. Leaving a tip is entirely optional and never required to use Motly.

Tips are processed by Buy Me a Coffee (or another tip provider you choose), not by Motly or Apple. Their fees, refund rules, and terms apply to the tip transaction. Motly does not sell digital goods through that link.

If you open the support link, you leave Motly and use a third-party website or service. Motly is not responsible for Buy Me a Coffee’s availability, content, or practices.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Motly on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store terms and these Terms.

You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse Motly except as allowed by applicable law.

Content and third-party sources

Definitions, examples, and pronunciations may come from third-party dictionary and language services. Definitions are shown in English. Motly does not guarantee that every definition, example, or pronunciation is complete, current, or error-free.

Third-party content remains subject to the rights and terms of its providers. Motly is not affiliated with those providers unless stated otherwise.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use Motly and for keeping your device secure. Do not use Motly in any way that breaks the law or interferes with the app or its service providers.

No warranties

Motly is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Learning outcomes are not guaranteed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Motly and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the app.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Because Motly is free to use, and optional tips are donations rather than purchases of the app, our total liability related to Motly is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law (and, where a monetary cap applies and you paid Motly nothing for the app itself, that amount may be zero).

Changes and termination

We may update these Terms, change features, or discontinue Motly. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms.

Privacy

How Motly handles information is described in the Privacy Policy. By using Motly, you also acknowledge that policy.
